Slonovschi Dumitru Valentin
Biography Dumitru got his higher education in Moldova and later in Sweden, then he began his carrier as a junior consultant at a Swedish consulting company. Upon his return to Moldova, he first worked for MIEPO and, then, in 2006, founded Magenta Consulting - a company specialized in marketing and sociological research, development of marketing strategies, and marketing consulting. Among the clients of the company there are both domestic and foreign companies, international organizations, government, as well as local authorities. Over the last 10 years the company grew from 3 to 30 employees, while the number of implemented projects amounts to more than 1,000. On a monthly basis, the company manages 15 to 30 projects. This efficiency is indicative of substantial executive experience in managing projects and teams. During the last 3 years, based on experience and knowledge of the local market, obtained from research, the company increased the number of consulting projects. Dumitru is a senior consultant and oversees these projects. As well, the company established a new department which provides mystery shopping services, and another department that implements promotion strategies that are designed for clients.
He constantly monitors research trends and introduces innovative services for the Moldovan market. Examples are eye-tracking research, online polling, using tablets for field work, live remote focus group streaming, psychographic profiling of Moldovan consumers.
In 2013 and 2014, along with two partners he organized Bizpower - the largest business conference in Moldova. He was in charge of the preparation of the program, he invited speakers, searched for sponsors, dealt with organizational issues, and moderated the conference. In 2014, together with his partners, he launched the DreamUps coworking space, where he regularly organizes trainings and events for its members. As of 2010, he was invited to serve as a lecturer at the Academy of Economic Sciences of Moldova, and later – at the State University of Moldova. He teaches several courses at both universities. Recently, he also conducted a series of trainings on marketing research for the Chamber of Commerce of Transnistria.
